Northfields cows eveningDID YOU KNOW…… The  REFERENDUM PETITION to halt the recent decision by the county council to pass a NEW  A-10 ZONE in the Northfields WAS CERTIFIED by the county clerk on January 9, 2015!    It was zoned 1 home per 20 acres, but the county council last year tried to change it to 1 home per 10 acres,  even though the majority of citizens were against it. It seems it was a priority before a couple councilmen left at the end of this year. Can you say “CONFLICTS OF INTEREST”?  Some councilmen, planning commissioners and/or their families own land in the Northfields, too. Click on the picture for more details!

Northfields cows evening

DID YOU KNOW…… That the Wasatch County Council decided to pass a motion for the planning commission to take ANOTHER  look at a Northfields rezone in their November 13th meeting?  It’s currently zoned 1 home per 20 acres, but now they want it to change to 1 home per 10 acres.  Even though the citizens 2 years ago came out strongly in favor of preservation of current zoning, it seems it’s a priority before a couple councilmen leave at the end of this year. Can you say “CONFLICTS OF INTEREST”?  Some councilmen, planning commissioners and/or their families own land in the Northfields, too. Click on the picture for more details!

Heber-City-PublicSafetyBuilding-aerial-perspective    DID YOU KNOW.... That a group of Heber City residents tried to get a referendum petition on this 32% tax increase for the public safety building? It would have been on the November 2014 ballot, but it didn’t happen within the time allotted. BUT WAIT! It ended up on the ballot anyway!  Now what is the Heber City Council going to do with the ballot results? Will they listen to the voters who most definitely weighed in?  Click on to the picture to read how that happened!
